Sisterhood has fundamentally shaped my identity. For this project I wanted to create an accurate portrayal of sisters based on my own experience. When I contacted subjects, I was met with an overwhelmingly positive response. I went to their homes and photographed them in their own intimate spaces. We shared anecdotes from our lives and let the photographs happen organically. It became clear to me that as women we are craving more stories about ourselves, and about other women with whom we can relate, learn from, and share our collective female experience.
